Included in the exhibition Books Out of Bounds at Libby Leshgold Gallery (520 East 1st Ave, Vancouver). The exhibition runs July 21 - August 28, 2022; noon-5pm daily.

The Anarchist Review is a collection of customer reviews of The Anarchist Cookbook, left on the online retailer website Amazon, creating a meta-narrative that explores dissent, rebellion, and the paradoxical nature of seeking anarchy within the confines of consumer culture. Published by The Peripheral Review with an essay by Nathan Crompton. The book was designed by Brennan Kelly.

From the Out of Bounds exhibition (Libby Leshgold Gallery) press release: "The Anarchist Review is a conceptual response to the infamously banned Anarchist Cookbook (1971). Artist Knox has compiled various online customer reviews of the original book, complemented with an introductory essay on the history of the Cookbook and its place in contemporary society, by activist and scholar Crompton."

The book includes drawn reproductions of images from the 1970s edition of The Joy of Cooking and a few images from the original Anarchist Cookbook (re-drawn in the style of The Joy of Cooking illustrations).

This book is available from Read Books (the art bookshop on Emily Carr campus, Vancouver) and Peripheral Review.
